We had an incredible stay at Patchem Place Clarens, thanks to Johan and Tim who were exceptional hosts. They made our time in Clarens truly unforgettable. The room was superbly equipped with everything we could possibly need, and Tim's breakfasts were a delightful highlight - his omelettes are not to be missed! The location is perfect for hiking, with well-marked trails right from the house leading into the mountains, offering options for both leisurely walks and more challenging hikes. Johan's recommendations for local restaurants and attractions were spot on, enhancing our experience of the town. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Clarens and reconnecting with Johan and Tim. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our trip exceptional.

Everything! Absolutely everything! The cherry on top was definitely the breakfast cooked up by Tim. Our hosts were incredible and we cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, laughs and local knowledge and advise.

De B&B heeft een prachtig uitzicht vanuit de slaapkamer en de eetkamer. De ruime, luxe slaapkamer heeft een heerlijk bed waarin je helemaal tot rust komt. Het ontbijt is super uitgebreid, goed verzorgd en gevarieerd (zelfs aan de vegetariërs wordt gedacht). We werden enorm warm ontvangen door Johan en Tim. Na aankomst kregen we tips over wat er te zien en te doen is in Clarens en kregen we goede suggesties voor het avondeten. Al met al was het een prachtige B&B, op een perfecte locatie, met super hosts. Zeker aan te raden!

The food was amazing. I commented about food on pictures during my booking that they look appetising. Guess what?? You went way beyond my expectations. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We even skipped lunch because we were still full and satisfied.

There is nothing I didn’t like. Your friendliness is heartwarming, who wouldn’t like to be treated like the only guest in the premises.

The views are extraordinary, and the location is walking distance from town Square, so there is little to no driving required once you've arrived. The service from Johan & Tim is nothing short of exquisite! We felt right at home. Breakfast is catered for every day, with a gorgeous spread of fruits, yogurt & sweet treats, followed by a hot breakfast that is made up of whatever you desire on the day (omlettes, a full English breakfast, scrambled eggs- you name it) The room is cleaned every day, the bed & pillows were comfortable, and the AC worked like a bomb, especially in the cold weather. Every expectation was met on this little getaway of ours, & we would definitely come back. (You actually feel so sad leaving this beautiful quaint town:()

Johan and Tim are exceptional hosts and will make you feel like royalty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was incredible value for money. The breakfasts were extravagant with a variety of fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, a side of fruity nut yoghurt, along with a choice of Tim's mouthwatering cheesy omelette special which will keep you satisfied until dinner time! Apart form the fancy and fabulous breakfasts, the accommodation is warm, clean, cosy and homely. I would highly recommended Patcham Place as it will make your stay in Clarens extra special!

Everything. Comfort, cleanliness, attention to detail was outstanding. Bedrooms furnished with quality and style. Balcony with table and chairs. Mountain views. Satellite tv and wifi in rooms. Breakfast was unbeatable as were the hosts Johan and Tim. Great location with a few minutes' walk to the town square surrounded with restaurants, bars, shops etc. Safe parking.

The hosts are extremely friendly. The rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated and have a modern bathroom. From the balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. The breakfast is also exceptional and served with a lot of love. You can reach restaurants or cafes within walking distance. It was one of the best B&B we have ever experienced. Thank you Johan and Tim.

Where do we start - from the moment we arrived, our hosts were there to welcome us and show us to our accommodation, which was exceptional. They thought of everything down to sherry for the chilly evenings, coffee machine with loaded pods, rusks to go with the delicious coffee, and not forgetting the nougat for a sweet treat. The room was spacious, warm, comfortable, immaculate and tastefully furnished. Our breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious, and we were waited on by our hosts, who, in our opinion prepared the best breakfast - Masterchef style. We thoroughly enjoyed the calm, peaceful, and relaxing stay and highly recommend this 5 🌟 experience in our view.

These guys have gone above and beyond to give a 5-star experience in the quaint town of Clarens. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with welcoming smiles calling you by name. The rooms smell great and these guys have paid extra attention to interior design details that are rivalled by only some of the top global hotels.
