We stayed at Patcham Place in January and returned in March because we loved our stay. And what a pleasant surprise that Patcham Place now has a new ownership that has raised the standard even further. The B&B and the location is still the best possible in Clarens. Now the rooms are nicely renovated and the breakfast is fantastic, absolutly the best ever. And the service level of the hosts is amazing. Highly recommended.

The location was excellent. Close enough for a quick walk in to the center of Clarens but far enough away not to be disturbed by the all the hustle and bustle. Johan and Tim were excellent hosts and breakfast was always a real treat! Yummy food, excellent views and attention to detail! Would love to visit again soon.

Reception by the new hosts was more than friendly and very personal. Rooms very nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, great setting outdoors on the deck, including binoculars to watch the hikers up in the mountain!

Owners Johan & Tim went out of their way to make it an amazing stay for us. Most incredible breakfast, and the rooms have just been redone & are really fantastic!

The attention to detail by our hosts, the peaceful, quiet location, and great view. Johan and Tim were also very helpful in making dinner reservations and advising on things to see and do.

We recently booked 2 rooms for 2 nights here and were very pleased with our choice to stay over here. It was one of the more reasonably priced places, given the fact that there was a cycling race taking place in Clarens that weekend and places were booked. In terms of conditions and reception as guests, our experience was 5 star to say the least. The place was very clean and neat at our arrival and was kept this way for the duration of our stay. We furthermore had a balcony view over the mountain, which is indeed special as Clarens is a beautiful place. The room and bathroom were spacious and equipped with an aircon, Nespresso coffee machine and bullets, etc. It also had a small fridge and umbrellas. One thing that stood out for me was the emphasis on quality in every aspect. The host really got things right. As for the hospitality of the host, we simply can not fault it. They were naturally friendly and pleasant and made every attempt to be of best service to us. We were very impressed. Breakfast was included and again very well done. In my travels, this is a place I rank high among many places I stayed in over the years and sincerely recommend it to others.

A beautiful and charming guest house with wonderful facilities. There are so many nice additions such as the coffee machine, bathroom additions. Everywhere you look has something beautiful. The property is amazing but the wonderful hosts Tim and Johan are the best. The serve a wonderful breakfast, have thought of everything and are just all round great guys. I won’t be staying anywhere else!

One of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed. The facilities were great, very nice bedding with crisp sheets and duvet. Balcony and room with beautiful view of the mountain. Room has got lots of extra touches that made our stay special The breakfast was exquisite and delicious with yoghurt, different fresh fruits hams cheeses etc. We did not even get to the warm breakfast! Can definitely recommend the guest house to anyone! Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return. Very good location as well and walking distance to all restaurants.

This is an awesome place, really everything is very very good! The bed is very comfortable , the breakfast is far more than you can believe, the decoration in the room is so nice. Everything is there what you need and the staff is so friendly, serving and gave us good tips!

The proximity to town balanced by the quietness of not being directly in town made the position of this B&B perfect. Beautiful mountain views from our room as well as all the luxuries of a hotel. We had a massive cloud of a bed (seriously struggled to get out of it, it was that comfy) with pristine, crisp clean white linen. Spacious room with a large TV. Big beautiful bathroom. The breakfasts were exceptional and the hosts Johan and Tim were warm and welcoming.
